Lila and Angelys Jewellery is a company that sell high quality jewellery to the trade only. It is a great example of one of our invoice based e-commerce websites.
One of the key features that was requested was the ability to order on invoice for the trade but also the ability to pay via an online payment provider.
The products that are sold are of premium quality and in its design, the site needed to feature a contemporary and premium feel.
For the trade side of the site, it was paramount for Lila Jewellery to only allow one main trade customer per town of the United Kingdom.
The responsive design created for Lila Jewellery is simply and elegant while incorporating the contemporary look requested. Graphical elements consist of high resolution photographs to portray the premium feel of the product.
At the bottom of the home page we developed a featured product carousel where the company can add their top products to showcase. The carousel is automatic and adapts fully to each device it is displayed on.
When trade customs sign up to the website, their details are checked against a database of other customers in their area. If they are the first customer in that region, their account will automatically be authorised. However, if another supplier is in that area, Lila Jewellery would need to grant them their account access. This type of feature is a prime example of why we develop everything bespoke. We can develop every requirement our customer wants without borders or boundaries.
Online purchases are handled by the payment gateway Worldpay. While some payments are done on invoice, many of Lila Jewellery’s customers prefer a quick and easy method to carry out the transaction.
As Lila Jewellery had all their products catalogued in Excel, we developed a CSV upload facility for them to add their entire catalogue. All images were referenced by product number. This meant that our fantastic uploader handled the entire product database with absolute ease and speed.
