Windows 7 is the next operating system from Microsoft. The operating system has gained popularity in the last few months following positive feedback from leading I.T. specialists.

Initially the OS will be released to PC vendors for installation on their PC builds. An official release date has not yet been confirmed. Acer, the world’s second largest PC manufacturer has officially stated their date as 23rd October 2009.

Microsoft is hoping of a more positive response to Windows 7 than that of the one received with Windows Vista. Many of the issues people had have been rectified and improved upon.

As with Windows in the past, a number of different version options will be available upon release.
