We were really unsure about the content management system but what they set up was very user friendly even for us technophobes! We didn't leave the office until they made sure we were comfortable and fully understood what to do. There were times we got confused and guaranteed they were at the end of the phone to help and fixed any bugs found straight away. This included setting up a temporary email for us late on a Friday afternoon when ours was not working properly.
The work has not stopped since the handover as they have worked on optimizing our site on google to help get our name out there more.

Samuel, the owner of Gardenscape came to us having seen other websites in the same industry that we have previously built, and was keen to get a website of a similar quality in order to ensure his online presence equally represented the quality of work they are producing.
As well as a new website, Gardenscape also wanted a new logo to help strengthen the fact they are more focused on ‘hard landscaping’ projects than ‘soft landscaping’ which their pervious logo suggested.
As Gardenscape have grown and added a number of different serves to their range, particularly to the ‘hard landscaping’ range of services, it was very important that the website reflected these and ensured visitors could easily find more detailed information about these key services.
Search engine optimisation was also very important and so as with all websites we design and develop, optimisation was foremost in our mind through both the design and development phases of the project.
We initially created a new logo replacing the existing plant icon from their previous logo, with some block paving to represent one for their key ‘hard landscaping’ services. The addition of a shovel ensured the logo still represented the general landscaping side of the business, rather than looking like just a paving company.
The general layout is modern and uses some simple by effective user experience features, creating a bit of movement, and is of course designed with a ‘responsive’ mobile-friendly structure. The primary colours of the main titles, sub-titles and general copy throughout the website are influenced by the logo, offset against an open white background.
It was also important to ensure their key services were well promoted and so as well as having link on the main navigation, we also creates an area on the home page linking visitors directly to more information about each of these services by clicking on the bespoke designed icons we created to represent each icon.
