iOS launches for iPhone and iPad

Apple will shortly be releasing iOS 5 to the world. The new software provides some fantastic new updates including a notification centre, instant messages between iPhone devices and direct Twitter integration without the need to use the website or dedicated app.

Included in the update are over 200 other new features improving what is already a fantastic mobile operating system platform.

There is no doubt the legacy left by the late Steve Jobs is continually improving. However, only time will tell if Tim Cook can keep it at the forefront of the industry.
