After months of speculation, Apple have finally launched a tablet computer called the iPad. Aesthetically, the device looks like an oversized iPod touch but there is far more to it.
Sporting a 1GHz processor and a 9.7 inch touch screen, the iPad is perfect for reading digital books or newspapers. In addition to its new uses, email web browsing all gain from its large LED backlit screen. There are some limitations however, such as the lack of any multitasking or phone connection.
The device goes in sale in March and while UK pricing is unannounced, expect it to start at around £500.
