Loveday Antiques is a London based antique furniture company. They sell luxury antique furniture ranging from desks to chairs and everything in between.
"As they are so familiar with website design they also informed us of design concepts and graphic design especially photo imaging which is a major part of our website"
After speaking to several different web site designers in the area, we decided on using Advanced Web Design as from the start they seemed to understand exactly what our vision was in terms of our website and goals.
They were keen to listen to what our requirements were and also made valid suggestions on how we could make the design more efficient and where we could improve. As they are so familiar with website design they also informed us of design concepts and graphic design especially photo imaging which is a major part of our website.
Richard and Gareth really are perfectionists with attention to detail and no matter how small or how many times they are willing to help. I would fully recommend them to any of my clients and friends.
Thanks for a great website.Read in full
When Loveday antiques approached us back in 2011, they wanted a contemporary site that could showcase their classic antique furniture.
Rather than be full e-commerce and due to the rarity of the items that Loveday sold , an enquiry basket option was requested.
Loveday also wanted us to create a newsletter registration to allow for their customers to register and keep upto date with the latest items that Loveday add to their catalogue.
The website design we created meets the requirements of Loveday. The site is simple in nature and very easy to use. Within the product pages, a high resolution gallery was developed to allow customers to view items in intricate detail..
The enquire basket system we developed acts like a wishlist feature seen on many of our sites. The customer adds the items that are of interest into their basket. Once they have compiled the list, they complete the registration and enter their details. It then allows Loveday to contact them about their items to complete the sale.
Once items are sold, they remain on the site and are automatically placed in the sold gallery. As these items are rare it allows for people to see the quality of products that have been sold by the company in the past.
Social media has been integrated throughout the site from the main category pages right through to the individual products and galleries.
Each of the photos on the site are stored in a number of different resolutions from small to the original source images. As the sold gallery lists historic products, it was important that a high end hosting solution was used.
While the site is a number of years old, the original build lends itself heavily to tablet devices.
