Etang Cerisier is owned by Derek and Maggie Stritton, who purchased the property three years ago. The project fulfils a dream for Derek, himself a long time carp angler who having fished from an early age began to fish for carp in the late 1960's. Prior to purchase the lake had never been fished by English anglers, it was previously privately owned and fished by a single French angler. During the past three years work has taken 
place to both improve the fishery and fishing and the accommodation available.
Though the lake contained a stock of carp when purchased, many of the smaller fish were removed and replaced by a strain of fast growing mirrors, which have done very well since introduction, now weighing up to 40 pounds. There is also a good head of catfish present.
